Impact & ESG
Responsible capital, lasting legacy.
Durable returns and responsible conduct go together. We integrate ESG into how we underwrite and own businesses, and we direct part of our success to communities through the Velaris Foundation.
The Velaris Foundation
Measurable results, not statements.
The Foundation runs a focused set of programmes and reports on what they deliver. These are the headline figures to date.

Togo Water Project
Clean water for rural Togo
The Foundation has funded twelve wells across rural Togo, giving more than 8,500 people daily access to clean water. Each site is built with local crews and handed to the community to operate and maintain.
Clean water changes a village. Children spend less time fetching it and more time in school, and waterborne illness falls. We fund the construction, then support training so the wells keep running long after they open.

Orphanage Support
A stable start for 200 children
We support orphanages caring for more than two hundred children, funding housing, meals, healthcare and schooling. The aim is simple: a safe home and a real education.
Beyond day-to-day needs, the programme pays for tutoring and improved facilities, so that children leave with the qualifications and confidence to build their own future.

Education Access
Schools, books and equipment
The Foundation equips rural schools with classrooms, libraries and computers. Several sites now run digital-literacy classes that reach students who had never used a computer before.
Education compounds. A child who finishes school earns more, supports a family and often invests back into the same community. We fund the infrastructure that makes that path possible.

Community Development
Training and small enterprise
Through microfinance and vocational training, the Foundation helps adults start small businesses and learn trades. Programmes run across fifteen communities in three countries.
We measure outcomes the way we measure investments: businesses started, jobs created and incomes raised. The goal is self-sufficiency, not dependence on aid.

Sustainability
Renewable energy and clean infrastructure
Where the grid is unreliable, we fund solar installations that power schools, clinics and water pumps. Clean energy keeps the other programmes running and lowers their long-term cost.
These projects also reflect how we invest: build infrastructure that lasts, measure its effect and let it compound over time.
ESG inside the portfolio
We weigh environmental, social and governance factors from the first meeting, not as a final box to tick. Our head of ESG built integration frameworks for more than €50Bn in institutional assets and applies the same discipline here: assess the material risks, set objectives with management, and report progress to the investment committee and board.
The logic is practical. Companies that manage their impact tend to be better companies. They attract talent, keep customers, handle regulation and compound value over the long horizons we care about.
Environmental
We measure the climate and resource footprint of every investment, favour energy-efficient operations and hold our real assets to high environmental standards.
Social
We back companies that treat people well: fair employment, health and safety, and products that improve lives, from digital health to scientific instrumentation.
Governance
Independent oversight, transparent reporting and rigorous compliance sit at the centre of how we operate. Sound governance protects both value and the people affected by it.
Responsible growth, shared values.
If your company fits our thesis and our standards, we would welcome the conversation.
